The squeaker is awful and terribly designed, however, It squeaks the first time you or your dog squeezes it, then it falls off inside and it becomes a rattler instead of squeaker. I thought it was a one off thing, but nope, all of the balls had the squeaker fall off inside rattling by the 2nd attempt to make it squeak.
