The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. Nice fit, quality look good too.

Just installed in a 2006 4Runner. Can’t speak to exact filter partials or longevity, but what I can’t say is that it fits very well and looks to be made very well. It actually fits better than the Bosh filters I normally use. Has a nice foam seal around all 4 edges and fits in the tray perfectly. Seem to be a nice option. So if you have a 03-09 4Runner it’s going to work well. Here’s some pictures of this filter (the blue one) next to a Bosh filter I removed. Also a picture with it in the factory tray.
