Raw and Honest
Format: Hardcover
I admit I purchased this book because of all the hype, but also because I have been, since childhood, intrigued by her various family legacies (Burden, Vanderbilt, Cushing, Fairbanks), and their alliances (Whitney, Astor, Roosevelt, etc). I was not sure what to expect, but I am grateful I read this book. Being a queer man I probably am not the core audience for this book, I can attest it is still a great read.
Ms. Burden is amazingly candid and honest in a way I don't think most people in her situation would be. I can already tell that there will probably be countless reviews about how privileged her life was even during and after her divorce, and how unrelatable this book is for many people, but then you are missing something. If you want to judge Ms. Burden for things she had no control over then you should examine your own life.
My hat off to the author for being so open about such private matters in her life, and also for doing a great job shielding her children in life and in the book.
I hope it is true that there is a movie/series being made that will star Gwyneth Paltrow. I love Gwyneth, and if the author won't play herself I think Gwyneth is an amazing choice for her poise, acting ability, and class. Can't recommend this enough!
OH, I am curious to know if anyone who read this book read Wendy Burden's memoir Dead End Gene Pool. I LOVE that book, but it is so very very different, and I am curious to know if Wendy and Amanda get along irl.

My son is actually motivated to do a workbook
Format: Paperback
My Kindergartener finished homeschool online early and we have been doing a page a day and he loves it and loves to earn a sticker after each day and put it on his chart. I love how engaging the workbook is and how it introduces some 1st grade concepts. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Summer Workbooks - Keeps Kids Engaged and Ready
Format: Paperback
These workbooks have been an absolute lifesaver for keeping my kids on track over the summer! I was looking for a resource that would help them retain what they learned and prepare for the next school year without feeling like a chore, and these deliver perfectly.
What I particularly love is how well **organized they are by days**. This structure eliminates any guesswork and makes it incredibly easy to assign manageable chunks of work each day, which helps to **keep my kids consistently on track**. There's no overwhelm, just steady progress.
The content is engaging, and it genuinely seems to reinforce key concepts in a fun way. We've had **absolutely no complaints** from the kids, which is a huge win for any summer learning material! I highly recommend these workbooks for any parent looking for a structured and effective way to bridge the academic gap during the summer break.

Fun for my Kindergarteners!
Format: Paperback
This activity book is a fantastic, age-appropriate resource that makes summer learning both fun and effective for Kindergarteners transitioning to 1st grade! The pages are thoughtfully designed with easy-to-follow activities that keep young minds engaged while reinforcing essential skills. The addition of flashcards, stickers, and eBooks takes the learning experience to the next level, making practice feel like playtime.
One of my favorite features is the encouragement of hands-on learning and movement through exciting fitness challenges—because learning shouldn't just be about worksheets! It turns what could be a boring review into an adventure filled with creativity and energy. This workbook truly helps bridge the summer gap while keeping kids motivated and excited for the next school year. A must-have for any little learner’s summer routine!
