After a first round of firing in the Kiln at around 920 Centigrade, the Pomegranate is painted with brush and underglazes and the piece is then fired at 1240 Centigrade. Finally, gold luster is applied on the piece to accentuate the design. The piece is then fired again in the kiln for a third time. The gold thus becomes a part of the piece permanently. This clutch was very nice and classy-perfect for a gala I was attending. However I never got to use it because within 5 min of opening the package my cat ate the bottom corners off. So apparently he really liked it too. 5 stars for purse. 0 stars for cat.
